On the Radar

On the radar for this week are stocks in the Rare Earth Mining Sector for the second consecutive week. As China begins to restrict rare earth exports and take advantage of its 95% strong hold on supply this will be a problem going forward as it will now afftect on the cost of gasoline production worldwide.

Rare earth metals are used in the catalyst component of refiners' gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking units also known as FCCU. This may raise the production cost and cause many refiners to cut back on fuel production.

The stocks to watch this week are (MCP) Moloycorp, Inc., (REMX) Rare Earth Strategic Metals ETF, (SHZ) China Shen Zhou Mining and Resources, Inc., (REE) Rare Element Resources, Ltd.,(GMO) General Moly, Inc., and (AVL) Avalon Rare Metals to name a few.
