The investment seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, which correspond to twice the inverse of the daily performance of the MSCI Emerging Markets index. The fund invests in derivatives that advisors believes should have similar daily return characteristics as twice (200%) the inverse of the daily performance of the Index. It invests typically the rest of the assets in money market instruments. The fund is nondiversified.
The Ultra Short MSCI Emerging Markets ETF began the week trading at $57.77 but moved to a price low in the $53.67 area before ending the week trading much higher on the upside. With the affects of the debt crisis going on in the European markets we may see more downside pressure in markets worldwide in the weeks and months ahead. Therefore investors will need to pay very close attention to the $EEV - Ultra Short Emerging Markets ETF.
To end the week the $EEV ended the week trading at $58.73 up $2.21 or 3.91 percent on the upside on heavier than average volume of 8.44 million. The average weekly trading volume for this electronic traded fund is 7.74 million.
